What you’ll bedoing

We’re looking for an experienced Risk Manager who will enable the business and support functions operationalise risk management practices.

Your experience and knowledge

Although specific skills are preferable, we are open to hear from people with varying backgrounds.

  • At least 5 years ofrelevant enterprise risk management experience in financial services, preferably in Line 2 Risk function.
  • Strong analytical skillsand experience with operational execution of the Group’s risk managementframeworks (governance, oversight, reporting, RCMs, controls assurance andattestation, issue management, incident management, key risk indicators)
  • Ability to work with abroad and varied key stakeholders across functions and at all levels of experience.
  • Excellent communicationskills (written and verbal).
  • Degree qualified and other professional qualifications preferred.
  • Some experience in workingin Line 1 Risk would be preferable.
  • Experience within fintech, high growth tech or high-volume financial services businesses is highly regarded.

Key Performance Indicators  

  1. RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK
  • Develop risk management policies, standards and guidelines.      
  • Develop training, communication, tools and templates for riskmanagement policies.
  • Conduct regular risk management training 

        Key Performance Indicators

  • New or updated risk management policies, standards and guidelines arefit for purpose and easy to understand
  • New or updated training, tools and templates are simple and easy to use
  • Training has been rolled out to all and/or key employees

 

       2.     GOVERNANCE AND REPORTING

  • Support the operation of the MRCC
  • Prepare regular risk reporting for ELT, MRCC, ARCC and Board includingany recommendations and insights (as relevant)

        Key Performance Indicators

  • Provide timely, clear, concise and insightful risk management updatesto the regular risk and compliance reporting
  • MRCC meetings – co-ordinate the schedule and timely collation of papersahead of sending out MRCC pack along with agenda and minutes
  • (As required) Attend other committees to present / address queries

 

        3.     KEY RISK MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES

  • Partner with senior leaders and their teams to identify, assess, manage and monitor ourkey risks (e.g., Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA), controls assurance and attestation, issue management, incident management)

 

           Key Performance Indicators

  • Support the business and support functions complete their RCSAs.
  • Monitor the identification, assessment and rectification of incidentsand issues.
  • Conduct assurance activities over material risks

 

         4.     ADVISORY

  • Providecommercial pragmatic risk advice to the ELT and their teams on risk and compliance.
  • Keepabreast of emerging risks from changes in political and economic conditions,laws and regulations, competition, customer behaviours and consumption needs, key vendors and technology and assess the potential impacts to the business

 

          Key Performance Indicators

  • Strong presence and engagement with leaders and their teams in the business and support functions.
  • Consistently analyses and shares relevant risk and compliance updates and insights on potential emerging risks

 

         5.     STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

  • Develop and foster strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders internally within Risk and Compliance team, ELT and their teams and externally with Audit and Regulators

 

           Key Performance Indicators

  • Regular engagement with team and other stakeholders.
  • Evidence of strong relationships with key stakeholder groups.
