Meet the Monoovian

Say hello to Roma Sahni, Client Success Officer, at Monoova. Roma shares her experiences at Monoova with us and and some surprising fun facts. 👇

What do you like most about working at Monoova?

I like that I’m working for a company who knows the payment industry better than anyone. The people at Monoova are all dedicated to the same core goal which is achieving positive change in the Australian payments industry and helping businesses to receive and make payments that are fast and efficient. It makes me happy knowing that I am playing a role in facilitating this change and also contributing to the growth strategy for different businesses.

How would you describe Monoovians in 3 words?

Empathetic. Enthusiastic. Energetic.

Payments can be quite a dry topic, over the last year what have you learned about payments that has surprised you?

Have you ever imagined a day when you don’t make or/and received a payment? When you think about it, nearly every day of the week, we deal with payments and with the help of technology it’s gotten more advanced. Payment platforms like Monoova help individuals and businesses determine the best mix of payment options to serve the different need of customers. From receiving instant payments to instant direct debits like PayTo, there’s a lot more innovation to come in this space and it’s an exciting time to be working at Monoova!

What does a typical day in the Client Success team looks like?

I enjoy being part of the Client Success team. We’re experts in what we do and we deeply understand the set needs for particular groups of customers. I’m often seen as the face of Monoova as I regularly chat with our clients and work closely with them on how to best cater to their needs so they have the tools to succeed. But in a true sense, it’s also a battalion of people from different teams working in the background together to make things happen.

What's your favourite word?

Rightttt (Either I’m right, or the other person is right, but I am glad that someone is right in the conversation)

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

My mom lived in constant fear that her daughter would become a famous painter, and she’d have thrown out about a trillion dollars of her work, so I choose another profession wisely. To be honest I always knew I’d be happy when I started to make money and look, now I just don’t make money, but my work helps people and businesses make money move!

If you were a superhero what would your superpower be and why?

I would love to have the power cure all the deadliest diseases known to humans.

Would you rather travel to space or travel to the past?

I would love to travel to the past and meet key figures who actively played a role in creating history that’s shaped the world we know.

What’s your favorite hobby right now? What’s a hobby you’ve always wanted to take up?

I always wanted to be an actor, I think, I am quite expressive in whatever I do but a new hobby I want to take up is a stand-up comedian.
