Christian Westerlind Wigstrom appointed as Alternate Director at Australian Payments Network

Sydney, Australia – 17 March, 2025 – Christian Westerlind Wigstrom, Co-founder and CEO of Monoova, has been appointed as Alternate Director to the Australian Payments Network (AusPayNet), the self-regulatory body for Australia's payments industry. Together with Simone Joyce, Founder and CEO of Paypa Plane and Nominated Director for AusPayNet, Christian was elected by the non-bank payment-services providers (PSPs) members to represent their interests on the AusPayNet board.

As the industry association and self-regulatory body, AusPayNet works with industry stakeholders, government regulators and the wider community to provide thought leadership and policy development for the payments industry.

As an Alternate Director, Christian will contribute to AusPayNet’s efforts in modernising Australia's payment landscape.

“I am honoured to join the AusPayNet Board at such a pivotal time for Australia’s payments industry,” said Christian. “I look forward to collaborating with industry leaders to drive innovative payment solutions that benefit both businesses and consumers."
